Emotastic
Things are better at OU, so please excuse my heavy dose of loneliness downstairs.
Talent
I wish there was one thing that I was very good at, which I could do by myself. Such as make music or draw. But the talent I developed over the years was videomaking? And I don’t even know if I can do that because I never have anybody to help me in Nowhere, Ohio.
Santa Orders KFC
What do you do when you are done recording a Christmas video? Go to KFC, of course!
Short Video
Went on a date with Natalie in the Fall, I can finally edit the footage. So I did!
New Computer and some OK Go
Before you read this post, I wanted to quickly state that I honestly cannot wait until The Social Network comes out onto blu-ray. I loved it and am eagerly awaiting!

VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV——–Keep Reading—–VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
Earlier this month my friends and I built a behemoth (is that even the right usage) of a computer. It’s a consiberable upgrade and I’m already starting to push it’s boundaries! With this new computer my old problem of not being able to view let alone edit my old videos is over! I have already edited some videos, but I will be going back and editing the clips I have taken in the past year together so they are watchable instead of just hundreds of clips named Vid001, Vid002,…Vid963, etc.
Other than building a new computer, I created some new videos as well! First of all I made my very first stop-motion animation ever and based it on a popular video by my favorite band OK Go. The music video is End Love, you can watch the original here :

This is my Christmas-themed Nutcracker version of the video!
With the making of, in case you are curious:
My girlfriend thinks I should update this blog.
So I will!
I have not blogged in awhile, so I will recap a little bit, but I do not want this to just be a memory session as the point of blogs is to write what is on the mind now! In the past few months I have visited colleges for my major in video production and settled on Ohio University.

After summer, school started again and it was fun, got a one in marching band and had a great soccer season. I also joined a Broadcast Journalism class in which I help shoot footage for the local TV station and shoot and edit videos for the class. So far editing wise I have created
a commercial that won the class $300 dollars in a video contest held by a nearby university,
created a half hour long slideshow to help raise money for unfortunate families,
made a music video
And am going to continue to make more videos within the class!
Continuing on in the video direction, I have not created too many more videos this year, unfortunately
. I think this winter I am starting to pick things up more especially with the help from the Broadcast Journalism class. Including the videos for broadcast journalism at school, I am now working on my firts stop-motion video using nutcrackers and paroding the hit video “End Love” by Ok Go. Video can be watched here: http://youtu.be/V2fpgpanZAw . So that will most likely be my next post! (note: I did shoot a few timelapses this year and will continue to do so)
If you view my post two down in January, I asked the question of what I should do with my videos that I take with my Flip camera. A short while after this I realized that editing and even watching my 1280×720 videos on my old 2003 dell computer just wasn’t going to cut it, this is a major proponent in why this whole year I had not done too much. Luckily for me, I am building a new computer with my friends for Christmas for college! This computer is going to be high-end and will hopefully will get me out of my slump (and also change render times to 1/4 of the current time
).
See you next time!
Stay classy San Diego.
Blogging?
Is blogging something I should do?
Being one that cannot seem to continually update something, maybe I should retire this blog?
I will look into it
ON another note, a beautiful movie I recently saw was The Social Network. It was GREAT!
Presentation
A very large reason of why I created this blog was to share videos I have taken and everything! But so far I’ve shared like one of my videos, and a large reason why there is only one is because I’m struggling on how I should present my videos. There are 4 main ways I could present most of my videos
o Upload the raw files
o Edit them into some sort of collage
o Make them into vlogs with narration and everything (though I am not good at it)
o Or add music to the background
So while I try to figure this out, my stockpile of videos will grow. Just thought I’d give an update to you!
